The current Kumon White River centre was established in 2011, although Kumon has been in the White River community for much longer than that. In October 2016 the new Instructor Anneliese le Roux took the centre over, and together with Passions the experienced assistant, has been running the centre since.
Kumon is a programme for all ages and abilities. At the centre there are children of various ages who study the Kumon Programmes. The centre’s layout is conducive to optimal learning and boasts a separate Early Learner section. Through the Kumon Method children can work comfortably and confidently with the knowledge and understanding that Kumon equips them with. Goal setting with students and parents is also part of the Kumon Method, and as such students are always aware of what their individual goals are. Reports on these goals and achievements are provided regularly to both students and parents.
The centre provides a safe waiting area for students with a remote-controlled entrance/exit gate. A small play area is available, with one of the centre assistants checking on the students regularly. There is ample parking space available for parents who choose to wait for their children.
