The Lilyfontein Centre opened in 2016. Even though we are a young centre we currently have a great group of learners on various levels and ages.
The centre is situated in Brakfontein at Lilyfontein School and has a relaxing scenic environment where students can work focused, while they listen to the cry of the beautiful peacocks in the back ground.
We have a reading corner with approximately eighty books from our Recommended Reading List to read, while they wait for their lifts home.
Currently we have students as young as three going all the way to Grade Ten.
There are two staff members including myself and it is our role to guide, observe, support, challenge and encourage the learners that attend. We have supplementary learning such as reading, Kasu Cards and number boards that support the worksheets to develop maths and English.
There is a Tuckshop offering coffee, muffins, lunches and snacks for parents waiting while their children attend the Centre. We also have ample parking and a beautiful view over the valley. I am convinced this is the most relaxing environment to learn in!
