Cheryl Naudé opened the Randfontein Kumon Centre in 2018.
The centre caters for every learner, regardless of ability, age or culture. The Instructor and staff strive to develop the ability of each student, by discovering their potential and developing it to the maximum. The aim for every class day is for students to leave motivated and happy, with a quantified sense of accomplishment.
The centre offers a welcoming environment where learners are encouraged to progress at a pace suited to their ability. The dedicated staff have been fully trained to instruct students towards achieving their personal best, through ongoing evaluation of work and ensuring that the work is at the appropriate level specific to each learner.
Each of the students and their Kumon achievements is valued and they receive regular acknowledgement as goals are reached.
The Instructor encourages students to develop a love for reading. The centre has a reading area and library service where students can read and exchange books from the Kumon Recommended Reading List.
The Randfontein Centre is situated on the border between the Greenhills and Homelake suburbs and is in close proximity to most schools. There is a safe gated area where students can wait for parents.
