About our centre

At Kumon Morganridge, we are committed to developing confident, independent learners with strong foundations in Maths and English.

The Kumon Method supports students of all ages and abilities. Each child starts at a level suited to their current ability, allowing them to build confidence, strengthen fundamentals, and progress at their own pace. As they advance, students develop essential life skills such as discipline, perseverance, and self-learning, enabling them to succeed both at school and beyond.

Students attend the centre on scheduled days during the week, where they receive individualised guidance and support from our trained and dedicated staff, who are passionate about children and their development. Work is carefully planned, and appropriate instruction is given on centre days so that students can continue their work independently and with confidence at home.

Our centre offers a calm, structured, and welcoming environment designed to support focused learning. There is a designated waiting area for early students, secure parking for your convenience, and a coffee shop on the premises where parents can wait comfortably during sessions. A reward system is also in place to motivate and encourage students as they progress and achieve their goals.

We believe in working closely with parents to support each child’s journey, creating a strong partnership that helps students thrive academically and personally.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Kumon Morganridge.

Tiffany Boyens

About your Instructor

Welcome to Kumon Morganridge, Boksburg

My name is Tiffany Boyens, and I am proud to be the Instructor of the Kumon Morganridge Centre.

My journey to becoming a Kumon Instructor is rooted in a deep passion for helping children grow in confidence, independence, and academic ability. I previously owned and managed a tutoring centre for 4 years, where I gained valuable experience in supporting students across different ages and abilities. I hold a BCom Accounting degree and was awarded Golden Key membership for academic excellence at university. This background has strengthened my discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to high standards.

As an Instructor, my goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where each student feels seen, valued, and capable. I work closely with every child to ensure they progress confidently, build a strong foundation, and develop the mindset needed for long term success. Being part of each student’s journey is what makes this role so meaningful to me.

I look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s development and success.

Frequently Asked Questions

Kumon is a self-learning programme with each student receiving regular support from their Instructor. The carefully developed worksheets teach students how to find the answer for themselves, whilst their Instructor offers guidance when necessary. The key role of each Kumon Instructor is to observe their students working, either in the centre or their online class, making sure that work is set at the right level and that they are developing at the right pace.

Both, and every child in between. This is because of our individualised approach to education, which always asks the question: "What is best for this individual child?" Following a diagnostic test, a study plan is set to develop the ability of the child and to progress them beyond the Kumon International Standard (an international approximation of their school level) regardless of their starting point. Kumon welcomes students with special educational needs, gifted and talented children, and all those who believe they can achieve more and fulfil their potential.

Kumon offers much more than tutoring and differs from traditional teaching in the classroom. Rather than preparing children for a particular test or assessment, Kumon empowers students to learn for themselves, through individualised instruction and carefully developed worksheets.

As well as developing key skills in maths and English, each Kumon student will work towards building their independent learning skills and confidence in their own abilities. This means that a Kumon student will not be dependent on – or limited by – the skills and knowledge of others.

As a global programme, Kumon does not follow a school curriculum, but rather is complementary to curricula across the world. The primary aim of the Kumon Method is to develop independent learning skills. These independent learning skills enhance the students’ performance right across the school curriculum. Kumon operates at exactly the right level for each student – regardless of their age – ensuring that work set extends and develops their skills, confidence and ability.
